Rebekah N Duffin
Dr. Rebekah (Bekka) Duffin is a Research Fellow in the School of Chemistry at Monash University, specialising in bioinorganic and medicinal chemistry. Her research focuses on the development of metal-based therapeutics, particularly involving antimony, bismuth, and gallium, to address infectious diseases. She is especially interested in tackling antimicrobial resistance and neglected tropical diseases, including leishmaniasis.
Her work integrates organometallic chemistry, drug design, and biological analysis to better understand how metal complexes interact with living systems, advancing innovative approaches to therapeutic development.
